In what's now an iconic picture, taken in Ramadi Iraq in 2005, is Michael Burghardt following being injured by an IED and refusing to be carried off on a stretcher. This powerful image captured his indomitable spirit as he gave a 1-finger salute to the insurgents that targeted him.
Artist Timothy Colomer was his EOD partner in the USMC CBIRF unit and he's captured the heroic legacy of Mike Burghardt with this Limited-Edition art print.
